i think all of us on this forum would like to welcome all the newbies that have joined in the last six months or so ,if i`m not mistaken there seems to be an influx lately.. elders , ms ,and sisters.

Hi Everyone- guess I've never made a formal introduction. I haven't been on too long as a member- but have been checking this site fairly regularly for about a year now! I am the kind of person that you LOVE to hear about! (smiles) Woke up around November-December of last year. Went into a full fade at the beginning of this year and have not looked back!I still have some highs and lows since I've been in the cult for over 30 years- but I have never felt better in my life! I've enjoyed reading peoples comments- and keeping up with what's happening on the inside since I still have family that are drones. Thanks for keeping this forum going strong. I am hoping that many more newbies will be on here- the kind like I am!! I have to admit- I love hearing about more and more people leaving! Welcome to ALL on here that are new and thanks for the WELCOME from the old timers! lol

i remember around 2009, there was a scandal going on involving 2 families in my cong where the husband in one family was having an affair with the wife of the other family.

this resulted in pregnancy and subsequent disfellowshipping.

what was interesting to me though was a comment made by a co from the platform.

"You Can Do Just Enough Ministry To Dislike It"

when you were "in" did you ever actually enjoy the ministry?

and i made no secret about it.

instead i would joke about me feather knocking, and made sure i had my bible in hand so as they come to the door they know what im about so they can shut me down before i even start.. i always wondered how or why there were people who enjoyed it.

I THOUGHT I liked it- simply because my mind was conditioned to think I had done something RIGHT, GOOD and what GOD wanted me to do. I dreaded it on the inside, I hated getting up on Saturday mornings... but after I got there- forced myself to project to total strangers... I would feel pretty good come break time. It was like a weird placebo effect... I really did think that God was happy with me, so this eased my conscience as if I had somehow "bought" a bit more of Gods favor for everlasting life. Erghhhhh I hate thinking of all now. I stopped going out at the beginning of this year and I have never felt happier in my life to have my weekends to myself. First time ever!!!
